Hey, Barack! How's that plan of yours to get the rest of the world to like us more, coming along?
You Obama haters will always hate him regardless of what he does.

If Obama does nothing in advance ... you will blame him afterward for not taking action before it happened.

If Obama takes precautionary measures in advance to prevent people from getting killed .... you hate him, and say is he is going overboard with his actions.

You haters will always hate. There is no pleasing you!

The rebels have crossed over into Iraq and that's turning into another mess.

Do you realize you are praising the same entity that put us in this position of having to mass close embassies ?

These terrorists didn't just wake up one morning and decide that it was America they were going after.
What we see today is the result of decades long invasions, bribery, US backed puppet governments, greed, corruption, bribery, etc.

Obama didn't make Al Qaeda hate the U.S. ... that happened during the Reagan / Bush Sr. years.

But as our current President ... Obama now has to deal with Al Qaeda.

When the Benghazi embassy attack happened last year, Republicans were quick to blame Obama for not doing enough beforehand.

Now that Obama is doing something beforehand ... Republicans are looking for a way to hate Obama for it again.

There is no way to please an Obama hater!

Obama amped up the hatred by a 1000% percent. Reagan and Bush never supported terrorists. Obama did.

The Middle East is a disaster since Obama took office. For you to think otherwise is crazy. Are you seriously so ill-informed as to what is going on in the Middle East? And you can't blame Bush for what has happened since Obama took office. Obama owns this cluster f**k.

At least Bush had the balls to bomb the crap out of Iraq, which put the fear in countries that harbored terrorist organizations. The message was clear: mess with us and we will destroy your country. This is not say that Bush did the right thing going into Iraq but he had balls. Obama has made the US look weak by his inaction and thinking he could change the mindset of terrorists - that he was really going to change the world. He truly thought that he was going to put an end to terrorists and terrorism by winning their minds and hearts by supporting, placating and pandering to them. On top of that, arming rebels thinking that he was doing the right thing because they were going to take down Assad. Did he think the US was going to stroll into Syria and those weapons were going to be turned over to our military and all of a sudden the terrorists and the US would enter into some kind of peaceful partnership?

All Obama has done is open a can of cancer that is spreading throughout the Middle East. The only one responsible for this mess is Obama. Everything he has done to bring about the situation today was by choice. With this newest threat, do you think he has a "choice" to shut down embassies and consulates? He's doing what any president would HAVE to do, although no president has ever put himself in this situation. He has put the lives of thousands of Americans in danger.

How come he didn't make an announcement about the embassy and consulate closures? Does he think people don't notice his absence? People are used to his absence when there is a crisis. He only makes an appearance when he thinks it's going to serve his own purpose and include it his "legacy" that he is writing, which will be all about how he was the greatest president that ever lived.

AGAIN: The State Department has instructed all U.S. embassies that would normally be open this Sunday to close, according to a senior State Department official. U.S. embassies in Muslim countries are typically open on Sundays, while others are not. Most U.S. embassies will be closed this Sunday in keeping with normal hours of operation.

You seem to be unable to comprehend that it's about the MIDDLE EAST!! and not Asia.

All these posts over a day and you keep digging yourself deeper trying to be right.
Actually no. The state dept lady tried to deflect and marginalize this.
SHE said "many embassies are closed on Sunday".

My dig was on her statement.
I know better than to think Sunday is a day off in ME countries.

Al Qaeda started back in the late 1980s when Reagan / Bush Sr. were in office.

And have you already forgotten about the Iran - Contra scandal?

Obama did not "amp up" Al Qaeda's hatred of the U.S. Al Qaeda hated the U.S. long before Obama became President. Al Qaeda will continue to hate the U.S., especially as Obama continues to kill off their leaders.

Obama is currently doing everything he can to prevent U.S. citizens in our embassies from dying. And the Obama haters still criticize him for his actions, regardless of what he does.

Bush Jr. was a complete idiot. All he did was inflame the Muslim world. He could have simply gone after Al Qaeda after 9/11, but instead, he decided to start a huge war in Iraq as well. His infamous "bring it on" comment cost the lives of many men.

Obama continues to clean up the damage that Bush left behind.

Obama managed to kill Bin Laden two years into his presidency after Bush failed miserably for 7 long years.

Obama continues to fight the war against Al Qaeda, and he has been mostly successful at foiling attacks. Benghazi was the only successful Al Qaeda terrorist attack since Obama took office.

What has been happening in the Middle East has been mostly due to internal revolutions, in places such as Egypt, etc. where the citizens of these countries are trying to remove the dictators.

I personally believe Obama is primarily concerned about fixing the problems that exist in the U.S., and not as concerned about his own legacy.

US to shut embassies across Middle East following security threat - World Politics - World - The Independent

How is this possible? Al Qaida has been decimated and was on the run.
Well, let's see, did we do anything, anything at all to the terrorists who made multiple attacks on the US and British embassies or the Red Cross in Libya? Nope, they got away clean. I'd say that it looks like al Qaeda's of the world don't have any reason to fear reprisals, and I really wonder if we will do anything even if we are attacked this weekend.

RESPONSES IN BOLD

And have you already forgotten about the Iran - Contra scandal?

Haven't forgotten that fiasco. But I guess I missed the part that it had to do with terrorists in the Middle East attacking the US.

Obama did not "amp up" Al Qaeda's hatred of the U.S. Al Qaeda hated the U.S. long before Obama became President. Al Qaeda will continue to hate the U.S., especially as Obama continues to kill off their leaders.

He did amp up the hatred. Cut the head off of one leader of a terrorist organization, there are 10 to take it's place. Killing leaders of AlQaida is no different than killing a general and his platoon in the US army. There is always someone to replace them.

Obama is currently doing everything he can to prevent U.S. citizens in our embassies from dying. And the Obama haters still criticize him for his actions, regardless of what he does.

Do you think he learned something from the Benghazi screw up? Never in our history did the US order over 20 embassies and consulates to close. This is the first time, under Obama.

Bush Jr. was a complete idiot. All he did was inflame the Muslim world. He could have simply gone after Al Qaeda after 9/11, but instead, he decided to start a huge war in Iraq as well. His infamous "bring it on" comment cost the lives of many men.

Boy, are you lacking on information. To be expected from someone who holds a human being to the level of being a God. Obama makes Bush look brilliant.

Obama continues to clean up the damage that Bush left behind.

HAHAHAHA.

Obama managed to kill Bin Laden two years into his presidency after Bush failed miserably for 7 long years.

Obama had several opportunities to kill OBL but he froze. He was concerned about how he would look to America if it failed.

Obama continues to fight the war against Al Qaeda, and he has been mostly successful at foiling attacks. Benghazi was the only successful Al Qaeda terrorist attack since Obama took office.

You seem to think that Obama is a one man army. LOL It's our American troops that are defending this country, not Obama. Why don't you go read the newest revelations about Benghazi. While you are at it read about Libya, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan.

What has been happening in the Middle East has been mostly due to internal revolutions, in places such as Egypt, etc. where the citizens of these countries are trying to remove the dictators.

Ah, now we are getting somewhere. Egypt wants to remove the dictator that Obama supported. You know that dictator, Morsi, who wanted to implement the harshest form of Sharia Law, and who is from the terrorist organization Muslim Brotherhood.

I personally believe Obama is primarily concerned about fixing the problems that exist in the U.S., and not as concerned about his own legacy.

You are entitled to think whatever you want. You can think Obama walks on water. You can think he can turn stones into gold.

Fixing the problems that he created? Bush is pissing himself laughing at what a screw up Obama is.

I don't get it. What is the controversy here? Apparently there's a high level threat to certain embassies overseas so they are closing them for safety reasons. Yet, people here have......a problem with that? How? Why? Ooooooh, oh wait wait wait, I see. Because of Obama. Right. Carry on, nothing to see here.
