You mean the lobbyists not staffers. Politicians are bought so we need to get rid of the lobbyists. In my opinion they are a major problem.

unless you overturn the 1st Amendment you cant, they have the right to petition the government for redress of grievances.

What are you talking about.....petition the government. Lobbyists buy politicians and that is part of the problem.

if you ask any elected offical to do anything for anyone you lobby, and that would make you a lobbyist?

Yes, get some of these "good old do-nothings" out and some new blood in. Most of them are only living off the taxpayers and have never held a "real" job in their lives. With a large percentage of them being lawyers, it's no wonder nothing gets accomplished except churning.
