I certainly support term limits, but not 2 terms. I think the senate should be allowed to serve 3 terms. It takes one term just to get your feet wet. I think the house of representatives should be 3 to 4,4 year terms. Right now, they spend 1/2 of their time just running for office. It isn't their fault, they really have no choice. They are elected, within a year an opponent enters the race for the following year the representative starts running all over again.

I used to be against it, but what we have isn't working.

I support severe limits on the purview of government, limiting the terms of the stooges running it will make little difference.

YES to term limits for ALL elective offices!
The "Professional Politicians" have made a terrible mess, and it is well beyond time to remove ALL of them! Too many people get elected, then keep running for the rest of their lives! Some of them have never had a "real job", they have been feeding at the public trough since they graduated from college. Lots of "book smarts", but NO "real life smarts".
The answer doesn't HAVE to be term limit laws, though: Just make it a habit to NEVER vote for an incumbent! If a majority of voters did that, there could be NO "professional politicians"! Send them home, and make them get a "real job", where they have to do some REAL WORK!

It's hard to say. I'm leaning towards saying Yes for positions such as the U.S. Presidency, but I am unsure about other less powerful and less influential political offices. In regards to the U.S. Presidency, I think that the country should be able to elect new leaders every 8 or so years, if it has not already done so.
