Just look at the most recent IRS/Tea Party scandal.
Administrations have a history of using the alphabet agencies to hinder, squash their opponents.
Some get caught and others live with continual speculative stories.
People in power want to stay in power.
Power corrupts.
Exactly! Power corrupts which is why people should not want bigger government. The people in power will only hunger for more power.

Harassment of Dr King was an attempt to silence the Democrats opponent. Harassment of the tea party was an attempt to silence Obama's opponent
The Obama administration had nothing to do with it and groups from both sides were audited, Tea Party and right wing groups made up almost 85% of all applicants, so obviously more of them were going to be audited than left wing.

Power and greed -> government
Corruption can exist at any level and any size, arguing that less effective less functional government(because you have no definition of small government other than that) is going to stop corruption is stupid and this isnt even about corruption.
Besides the fact that you just made that up, what evidence do you have that the White House knew anything about it?
Did I accuse the Obama administration of anything ?
Didn't I note that some get caught while others don't ?
Did I ruffle your feathers there ?
My post was a general statement.
The current Tea Party/IRS scandal is the current scandal isn't it ?
Whether or not it's true the story is being told.
Plenty of stories told of past administrations using agencies.
No proof yet the stories are still told today based on speculation and odd coincidences.
Chill out..I'm not singling out your idol in the WH on anything.
It's BAU and both sides have these agencies at their fingertips when they get control of the Oval Office.
Sloppy Presidents get scandals; sloppier Presidents get caught; smart Presidents go unnoticed until stories come out decades later.
-posting the names of eight private citizens who donated money to Romney.
-referred to Republicans as 'enemies' and suggested his followers bring a gun to the fight
-remained silent while V.P. Biden called Tea Party supporters terrorists.
-remained silent while black Congressmen falsely claimed Tea Partiers had spit on them.
-told his Administration: 'We're gonna punish our enemies and we're gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us.'
-told them they'd gotten away with the IRS punishing a citizen called Joe the Plumber who had embarrassed Obama on the campaign trail.
Oh, wait. In plain sight. And the IRS followed his call.
Now tracked to an one of two of Obama political appointees.
Here comes Mr. Hull's testimony. And like Ms. Hofacre, he pointed his finger upward. Mr. Hull-a 48-year IRS veteran and an expert on tax exemption law-told investigators that tea-party applications under his review were sent upstairs within the Washington office, at the direction of Lois Lerner.

wow ds, do you really need a definition of "small".
And do you really think that a bigger government will be more effective? Obviously you never worked for a large corporation.
They also called Martin Luther King's marches "silly" and said that they "wouldn't accomplish a darn thing."
Sound familiar?
K-12 US History NEVER puts our government in a bad light.
Your real education starts after you get that HS diploma.
Sadly many don't educate themselves on the real history of the US.
I first realized that when I took a history course in college that was all about the Civil War.
Really opened my eyes to the whitewashing that K-12 does to you.
Obvious and blatant omissions exist in our K-12 US history.
