Corporations do not need government approval to outsource.

TPP is 30 +/- years old.

One of the key issues is trade infringement.

Depending on which side of the table one is on, you are either looking to secure corporations' ability to sue other nations for trade infringement or protecting your nation from the same when environmental damage is caused.

It appears to be a win - win for the corporation, either they can continue to harm the local environment or they win the lawsuit.

There's something in the neighborhood of 500 trade infringement lawsuits in any given year. There's a derivatives market whereby the corporation sells pieces of the outcome to investors.

2005 does not make it 30 years old. TPP evolved from TPSEP in 2010
One of the major changes is a push for an international arbitration group rather than dealing with individual countries.

They're for being contrary to any policy the Democrats propose, even if that policy aligns with their ideals.

From the history of trade with these countries they don't need to be a member.
