this isn't a "gay themed" thread. it is about a kid wearing pink, and a fictional larry the cable guy clone calling him gay. never did the blogger claim her 2 year old was gay. in fact, she did the quite opposite. nice try though, but FAIL.

If I would have had a "choice" in late childhood to pick my gender, I would have picked being a boy hands down, but it doesn't work that way, and it sure didn't mean I was gay. Once adolescence and jr. high hit, and hormones started kicking in, I was just as girly as everyone else. Some people are pretty sure they're gay from a very early age. I identified more with my brothers, and grew up doing "boy" things, but it never even occurred to me to be attracted to other girls as a romantic interest. You don't CHOOSE to be what you're born to be--it's biological.

Yeah, but that theory doesn't have substantial evidence to support it currently, so it is a flimsy argument upon which to base public policy.
There is far more 'substantial' evidence for that (including both human and animal studies) than there is any evidence at all that the earth is only 6000 -15000 years old. In fact ALL the evidence shows that the earth cannot possibly be that young. Yet you have no problem at all believing that.

Homophobia isn't only a learned behavior. If you are sexually assaulted by a homosexual, that could cause homophobia for good reason.
Yet, it's heterosexual men who perpetrate the vast majority of sexual assault, sexual molestation and rape of women, girls, boys and other men. And there are a lot more of them.
You apparently don't know who Dr Warren Throckmorton is and the work he does.
Ironically, he is a Christian Evangelical as well as a respected psychologist who works with gay and lesbian people. He is well known in the field and regularly does detailed reviews on the research in this field as well as doing his own research. He also exposes the religiously motivated nutter fringe group NARTH for the anti-gay propaganda mongers that they are. An honest Evangelical Christian who doesn't hold ignorant bigoted views about gay and lesbian people. Strange but true.
