Don't Cry for Me, California: The Happiest Places in America

Which way to happy? Geographically speaking, it's the route to Hawaii, Maine or one of the clusters of blissful cities in California and Colorado. You know... those horribly blue places where those miserable liberals are supposed to live, and where everything is supposed to be all screwed up.

Looks like there are a whole slew of countries where the populace is happier than in the US.
Yet I'm told I should be jealous that I'm not American.

Hungary got a 0 on the life satisfaction index. Apparently they started to do the survey and Hungarians just shrugged their shoulders and said "Why bother?" before crying their drunken tears into a large bowl of goulash...

And who would've thought the Italians were that miserable? Meanwhile the Swiss are just counting their stashes of gold and eating high quantities of chocolate with a satisfied grin...
