There are Millions of eligible Americans that are currently not receiving benefits. Your income and your housing expenses are taken into consideration. Most don't realize that the majority of 18-60 year old SNAP recipients are employed.
so tired of this blame the poor bs. yeah, sure, they're the ones who destroyed the economy with their glamorous public housing and lees than $1000 income per month. they're the biggest threat to the middle class. powerless, uneducated, poor people are the root of our problems. meanwhile, the banksters, the corporations who take our tax dollars and give nothing back, those public sector job destroying, anti working poor politicians are American heroes.

Why are food stamps necessary at all? Food assistance should be part of disability programs, not something of its own. Explain to me how a healthy grown adult can not be capable of providing food for their family? Their priorities are mixed up and that is all there is too it.
