I don't get it. Obviously, much of the growth is from Mexicans that have a bunch of kids when they are young. However, you also have alot of people moving to hot states. Is it just for cheaper COL? What do you think?

I moved to Florida 20 years ago and back to PA last year.

You think you want endless summer when you're young then you end up dreading the coming of the hot months.

Generally speaking; col, newer housing stock, opportunity, better overall state and local tax structures, more conservative. Folks coming to the South; NC-all the way to-AZ, from the West, Midwest, NE and yes, from the south-of-the-border.

Its expensive to deal with land and housing in the north. Not to mention the winters can be rough.

A more reasonable cost of living, better and more plentiful jobs, less blatant racism as compared to the NE states and never having to deal with snow... ever.

Look at the world map, the highest density of human populations is in warmer climates. Warmer climates also attract more tourists, for the same reason, we humans do not like the cold.
