You did that yourself when you changed the content of the link from its emphasis on cities to your emphasis on states.
Are you saying that when one says "Des Moines" that one should not mention the state and leave it up to someone to guess whether a person means New Mexico, Washington, or Iowa?
How about Auburn? California, Washington, or Alabama?
I don't know of one "city" that is really considered conservative.
With all the people packed in, you have to have a butt load of laws and control to keep everyone in line.
