I'm not sure how anyone could read the below article and then still be against medical marijuana.

Charlotte Figi, Colorado girl, has seizures treated by medical marijuana

It's not an excuse to get high for those who benefit from its use. It's natural relief without paying ridiculous prices for Big Pharma's pills.

Legalize it, both for medical and recreational use.

This conservative is in favor of legalization for all purposes. Think of the tax money coming in that could be used to reduce the debt.

To get the lawmakers on board we need to educate the legislators about the potential for marijuana lobby $$$

Against it.

I don't think it should be regulated or restricted to medicinal uses only.

It should be legalized for medicinal use since it alleviates many conditions and helps people cope with pain. I do not support the usage of it to be used recreationally because of the psychological effect it gives - but alcohol is much worse. I've never tried either though since I'm too young, and have no interest in inserting 3rd party substances into my body. I call it internal pollution.

A friend died from Ambien (one sleeping pill) as noted on his death certificate. He was 46 years old, didn't drink or take any other drugs.

If marijuana was legal, he could have smoked a little to help him sleep. He would be with us today. It's natures medicine, it is not man made as someone stated above.

No one has ever died from marijuana. Pharmaceuticals kill every day.

So yes, I am all for legalization.

Default It's better than Oxy but not the answer!

I am a former pot head. It effed up my life. I have worked through it due to understanding my opting into that particular experience. For a long time I was pissed off that other people were able to smoke weed without anxiety. I did smoke the strong stuff and hybridized pot is bred to be concentrated in THC. That makes it an imbalanced plant and more drug-like because it's primarily consumed for the psycho-active properties.

Whew.

Anywho, the meme is that it's the bee's knees. Reality is that it is still not addressing the dis-ease. So if you have MS and take pot for relief, what caused the MS? Many times these days I suspect Aspartame!

As a natural state agricultural substance MJ should be legal by default.

Then those inclined to use it for medicinal purposes would have as much freedom to do so
as those who might be inclined to use it for recreational or commercial/industrial purposes.
