Well, actually not, unfortunately - it is the 39th anniversary of President Nixon's resignation, whom by the way was not impeached(President Clinton was impeached).

President Obama should resign as his administration has been one of the most scandal ridden in U.S. history: Benghazi, the IRS targeting conservatives, Fast and Furious, Attorney General Holder's various issues, Solyndra, and many others which are listed below.

Solyndra was a mistake looking back, but not a scandal. Fast and Furious isn't anything new in this country, and if we impeach based on that then no president will make it through their term. Benghazi and the IRS crap aren't scandals, they're talking points on Fox News.

Nixon resigned to avoid impeachment, conviction, and a possible jail sentence. Pretty sad that Harrier hangs his hat on that technicality.

Wrong.

President Nixon resigned because it was the right thing to do.

It is not surprising that President Clinton did not resign and President Obama has not resigned - yet.

They are liberals after all.

Solyndra was a 'venture'. Government is not supposed to support 'ventures'.

Fast and Furious was criminal. Try to do what the government did yourself.

Impeachment is a warranted route of redress in our system.

Use of the IRS to impune the free speech of citizens should not be verbally launched by a sitting president.

And last:

Talking points don't come home in caskets.

He resigned to save face, not because he cared about "the right thing to do." You're giving too much credit to this politician.

Perhaps he respected the office?

Oh please, he got caught and had to resign or suffer the consequences. He choose to resign because it was the easiest way out. Who knows what else would have come out if he remained in office. It had nothing to do with "the right thing"

Sure it did.

Harrier notes that the liberals have deflected from the topic of the thread - which is the Obama Scandals - and instead wish to debate President Nixon.

Typical.
