Was he wearing a Bush mask at a rodeo/fair supported by tax payer money to the tune of $400,000?

Death Threats Against Bush at Protests Ignored for Years · zomblog
Pretty much through his entire Presidency, you can find protestors holding death threat or death wish signs about Bush and the media is silent. One person shows up to a Tea Party rally with a sign showing Obama as a witch doctor and suddenly this is a serious problem and the entire TP is suddenly branded as a lunatic, dangerous, racist organization.

The double-standard is simply astounding. Game of Thrones was caught putting a prosthetic Bush head on a pike -- so surely that means that everyone involved with GOT should be treated the same way as these rodeo fans and the clown, right? Nope, it's the most popular show on HBO. Nobody seems to care when death wishes are aimed at Republicans, but it's a travesty when it happens to a Democrat.

we arent talking just about "death threats".

We are talking about mass rallies by LIBERALS marching the streets of Washington DC burning GWB in effigy and holding signs calling for GWBs murder.

nary of democrat in Washington stood up and said that was wrong. Nary a politician called for the people to lose their jobs.

Clair McCaskil has called for the clown to be fired. it is not just a double standard. It is an outragious attack on the first Amendment for a sitting senator to lash out at the right of an individual to speak.

Liberals are showing just how disgusting they can be.

Wrong. In Bush's 8 years there were plenty of people who held threatening signs. That is not the same as mass rallies where everyone is calling for his death (or even a sizable minority).

All kinds of people can be disgusting. Do you really think conservatives can't be disgusting?

Exactly.

The deflection attempts throughout the thread are exactly what I expected as well. It was a long time ago. It wasn't a state fair. IBTL.

I hate liberalism. All this uproar over a damn rodeo clown, an entertainment act. Yet liberals have said and done far worse in the name of entertainment and comedy. The world would be a better place without liberalism

the man that posted the video of it disagrees with you!

and I guess you forgot about the numerous Dixie Chick cd burnings during the ramp up to that horrible mistake of the Iraq War for dare disagreeing with the dunce's from TX decision or calling many unpatriotic or naming french fries patriot fries for the same thing!

btw, no one got banned, if the clown's employer decides that what he did was bad enough to warrant firing thats their decision.

Not wrong.

In fact there were CONSTANT MASS RALLIES against George Bush. CONSTANT.

What there was an absense of was Republican politicians and government officials calling for the firing of people who held signs, made fun of GWB, or burned him in effigy.

All kinds of people use their protected free speach to say what is on their minds. Only liberals call for the firing of someone when they speak out in a way that liberals dont like.
