Bush lost the popular vote and won on technicalities. I didnt say he wasnt president, but losing the popular vote is relevant.

And the presidency is where the power is. Congress can hold things up onoy for so long. Ask the 90s republicans what shutting down the government did. Ask Truman what a do nothing congress gets?

Again, even republicans agree they don't like their state representation. Democrats at least approve of Obama some. If they lose the white house in 2016, which is very possible, they'll have been out of executive power for 12 years. Thats supreme court nominees. Foreign and domestic policy leadership. Congress has simply obstructed. Now they say they did that for a good reason. Voters rejected those in 2012..

Now they stand to lose the military if they shut down the government, and thats the power of the white house. Obama can look inept, but as longas congress doesn't do anything, they'll catch the blame in the end, because everyone hates them.

So yeah, the presidency is that important.

Nice cherry picking of the timeline, or do you think no one would notice the three terms before Clinton were held by republicans.

Reagan, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush, Obama, Obama.

Now republicans were president in 5 of the last 9 terms.

Gerrymandering will make sure that we keep the House. Gerrymandering insures that we will chip away at Obamacare and criminalize abortions. If only the senate would get with the program.

Well, it is, if you're talking about who the people voted for. Of course, Bush received 51% of the vote in 2004, so he did have a real victory, even if he was riding the coattails of terrorism.

But the people don't determine the president. The electoral college does. So really, the popular vote is "just a technicality" here.

that is four per cent drop in three months in gallop; so no wander he is out giving speeches now. Its starting to cut into the Democratic base now. Sequester job cuts coming too isn't going to help .

The only people Obama panders to is "rich" celebrities. I wonder, if he didn't want your vote would he really hang out with people like you.

Obama's problem is NOT that there were not enough jobs created, it's that the HOLE he had to dig himself out of was so deep to start with.
