Well, Obama's put an end to the Iraq idiocy, kept the economy from falling off the edge into another depression, bailed out the auto industry, got OBL, streamlined healthcare, reduced the deficit, cut the size of government and the conservatards still want his head on a pike.

Them jus' boys don't operate from the neocortex.

How were conservatives justifying the Iraq war after it was revealed that no WMD were found?

Saddam Hussein is gone, that was my goal. They're still there, they're everywhere, in the guise of the Bro'hood

Unaccounted for WMD materials. UNSCOM reported it as a problem.

Clinton thought it enough of a problem to order a military strike against Iraq.

Why, yes. And the CIA has later reported that UNSCOM had Iraq so off-balance, they were destroying both their stuff and the evidence. The accounting sucked. (We have the Iraq war to thank for that bit of intelligence, btw. It's ironic that it delivered the evidence for its weak foundation, no?)

And being rather more intelligent than GWB, he didn't do so in the form of a massive invasion, followed by a decade of occupation.

No US government liked having Saddam Hussein in power - well, no US government after Bush the Elder. Saddam was our buddy during the Iraq-Iran war, of course. But there's a difference between desiring regime change and invading to force it.

You guys keep trotting that out.

Pathetic.

It was Operation Desert Fox, there were no American casualties, it didn't last almost 10 years and required no boots on the ground.

And it was immensely successful in taking care of those WMDs that Operation Iraqi freedom was falsely based on.

You appear to mix up the fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood with the mostly secular Baath'ism that Saddam Hussein espoused. You could get your booze on in Bagdad back when. The Muslim Brotherhood rather frowns on that.

Your turn, that is, if you don't opt for the usual lefty skedaddle.

You might want to read the entire report before you start slapping yourself on the back.

from page 52:

Administration officials systematically misrepresented the threat from Iraq’s nuclear, chemical, and biological weapon programs and ballistic missile programs, beyond the intelligence failures noted above.
