It is the same mindset that makes liberals think that Rush Limbaugh has any special power whatsoever in the Republican Party leadership.

They don't understand that conservative direction comes from the grassroots level - from free people who move the agenda, not some central control oligarchy like in the DNC.

Everyone is equal in the GOP. This is a foreign concept to Democrats, so they project their own experience on to what they observe.

What the left doesn't understand, they fear - and what they fear, they demonize.

The country is on a unsustainable course. The entire country is in fact Detroit. People are tired of special interests stealing everything the productive class produces.
There is change coming, and the progressives are not going to like facing it when it does.
agree with bolded part. I dont think ANYONE is liking what is coming. 4th Amendment RIP.
We are en route to a Stasi state, depending where you live.

Ah.... the method Levin is talking about does NOT-NOT-NOT (read NOT) go through congress! -- check it out.

"Levin admits these amendments are unlikely to win congressional approval because in Washington power is not willingly relinquished. That's why he proposes the states bypass Congress, as the Framers provided, and pass these amendments themselves. As Levin notes, "Article V (of the Constitution) expressly grants state legislatures significant authority to rebalance the constitutional structure for the purpose of restoring our founding principles should the federal government shed its limitations, abandon its original purpose and grow too powerful,..."

And the both of you are correct and I have forgotten about that route, dam alzheimers It would be interesting if it ever takes place and I could see a couple of of his proposals passing. I also can see it becoming deadlocked or some horse trading.

Default If you support them, support them.

I can see their are people who wouldn't like Levin. Are you aware Adams and Jefferson hated each other? Yet, as grown men they put aside personal feeling and worked together to bring about the greatest nation in history.
So hate Levin, but don't kill the only hope we have of restoring rule of law and constitutional government.

As for his feelings on the Paul family, he likes Rand I think. Give him time. He also used to ridicule the idea of a Convention of States. I heard him dismiss a guy on this issue less than three years ago. Ticked me off at the time but now I say welcome home.

I do support all of his amendments and some of them are well talked about already such as term limits. So thus I am not impressed and considering the source who too me is just another loud mouth {R}.
