It's your business what chemicals you choose to put in your body as a grown adult. Just like you believe about alcohol, but refuse to extend to crack cocaine because your mind has been filled with the idea that crack cocaine is more destructive when, in fact, alcohol does far more damage to society.
So in a society where the government wants to protect you from yourself by restricting sugar, salt, mandating seatbelts , etc, which you embrace, then suddenly you stop short and allow people to self destruct on drugs like meth??????
If the self destruction was limited to a person, then go for it, however, the drug use and amount needed to satisfy cravings requires money. Where does a drug adled slug get money....duh! strong arm robberies, theft, car jackings to own responsibility for all the down stream violence ignorantly directed at firearms and law abiding owners. Suddenly a meth addicts problem is someone else's problem. Who could see that coming???!!!
Perhaps you want big pharma to manufacture and distribute these deadly drugs and the government, as in we the people's tax money, provide free drugs. You know big pharma that can no longer sell iuds because of potential law suits and health risks. Alternatively you can buy whatever mixture of poison from a street gang or some short lived entepreneur that the gangs kill in a territorial dispute?
The greatest source of violence is the drug user who supports gangs and all the pain they bring to society.
So you are begging the law to allow the sale of heroin, meth, et atc as the best way to rid society of the people that use illegal drugs? Is that a cry for legalized suicide? Sounds more like Margret Sanger and the effort to 'cleanse' society.
Would love to see the life expectancy for drug users vs non drug users.
Judges might come in alll colors, but here is the deal. Over half of the nation's murder victims are Black. 76% of all persons executed in the later 38 years killed a White person. 14% of those executed killed a Black person. Blacks get killed more than anyone else, often by other Black men. However, how do you know bias doesn't play a part? I don't have that much trust.
Juries might even come in all colors. However. here is the thing. How many Black judges are there in the USA? Where do those Black judges serve? How many Blacks serve in jury duty, and where? One thing you haven't thought about: Geography.
We know that blacks are the number one killers of other blacks. But, what % of blacks killed by other blacks are the result of gang-associated or drug-associated activity? What % of the whites killed by blacks are associated in gang or drug-associated activity.
Conversely, what % of blacks killed by blacks are innocent by-standers? The gang killings, killings for drug deals gone bad... may not be seen as horrible as when an innocent is killed. Let's face it, I know I am comforted ever so slightly knowing that when someone is killed, it's because they put themselves in a bad situation, rather than if they were targeted out of nowhere.
We do not know the circumstances of death where a black person kills a white person. And that's the point. Further, what the circumstances are where a black kills a black person? In general, however, the death penalty is usually reserved only for the most heinous of crimes - cold-blooded killing of innocents. It is up to the prosecutor to decide whether to seek death penalty in a case, and the circumstances usually have to be pretty bad. Like rape+ murder, or killing involving kids, and killing of women.
Serial killers will get the death penalty when in a death penalty state.

Re: Geography: The most integrated police forces, judges, juries, etc. are actually in areas with high populations of black people. I don't know what the composition of the Ferguson police force is, but if it was 99% white and not reflective of its community, it seems like it's ripe for a de facto discrimination lawsuit.
Did you know, for example, that one of the town with the most egregious "stop and frisk" policy/complaints in America is actually Miami Gardens, a town that is majority black, black police force, black mayor and black police chief?
no-- commit a crime and be called a criminal. but if you play the card really well, you might be able to silence them all for casting you in a bad light. i dont think so --but you can try.
