Having done a lot of business in Utah, I'm confident the good people of Utah feel likewise about Liberal ilk.
Mormons take money from anyone. That is all it takes to be well received. Their Society however does not use it as well as they should because of the draw of the church.

Funny you should say that. A person can spend a couple of days visiting Temple Square in Salt Lake City, tour ten or twelve historic buildings such as the Mormon Tabernacle, the Beehive House (Brigham Young's old home) the 21,000-seat conference center with a view from the rooftop gardens, etc. and never once be charged for admission, asked for a "voluntary contribution" or even permitted to tip the tour guides. See how far you get in Rome around the Vatican without having to shell out some money on one thing or another. Exactly who do you believe it is that the Mormons are taking money from?

LDS is well supported by its members. It may well be it is supported so well it damages the well being of its members.
In fact your experience may indicate how much excess cash the LDS has....
I was speaking of business. Mormon are quite good at business and extremely bottom line oriented. They are not the LDS church.
Dry or restricted counties tend to be conservative counties, I never said Utah didn't have beer, I said it lacked good beer because by law they only allow weak beer in their state.
Not anymore. Things have changed.
Here's a list of the top rated Utah small brewers. Some of their brews are just as potent as those found elsewhere. I have personally sampled some on the list, and none were 3.2 for sure!

@Katz... The statement made was clearly made by one who has never spent a minute in SLC. And if they have, then they are a liar. Either way, their opinion is irrelevant. My guess is the individual dislikes Mormons because of their religiosity; Typical garden variety left-winger who espouses "diversity" and "tolerance" yet is the first to criticize others who are unlike them.

And you appear to be the sort that spouts without thinking. I am well skilled in Mormons and their behavior. They are among my clients, my friends, and my neighbors.
You obviously have never dealt with them seriously. The view of the standard right wing lunk head loves them...but it is much more complicated than you understand.
Tithing appears to be a wonderful thing. But note it puts the standard middle class Mormon in a tax bracket exceeding 50%. Up there higher than NY or NJ. And it likely seriously impacts the economic performance of the mother ship in Utah.

I don't see Utah as being exceptionally successful. Compared to, say, Colorado. A good state with good people. Mormons have a strong work ethic and more cultural homogeneity than most states. I am having a hard time seeing the politics in this.
