Maybe it was necessary to act quickly, but... what a mess...

The MB has a history of feeding and taking care of the poor and the poorest of the poor. This bought them loyalty. When the elections rolled around, the loyalists were encouraged to leave their villages and/or poor neighborhoods to vote. They were given a piece of bread and a dollar to vote.
Kind of like promising the poor in the United States that they will be taken care of by government if they vote for a particular politician.
Who or what country had "sympathy" for the MB? It was a violent terrorist organization (and still is by creating militant offshoots) that realized that their violence wasn't getting them anywhere and they took a "pledge of non-violence" - but continued it's mission through a non-violent jihad. This enabled them to be recognized as a "legitimate" organization and allowed them to set up a presence in many countries.
If you feel sympathy for the MB, you might stop if you had more information. Don't be fooled by Obama's sympathy for the MB. He put himself in a situation where he is too involved with the MB and it's part of his Muslim tolerance initiative.
You can be sure that if Americans took action to destroy government buildings, government facilities, burning hospitals, burning churches, burning the homes of Christians, attacking Christian schools, attacking police stations and killing police officers and bodies were being dismembered, he would be calling out the military and the police to stop the violence, and it would result in deaths. But at the end of the day he would probably call it "work place violence" because he has a problem with the word "terrorism".
