I am just curious since I have a cousin getting married soon...Do you think if you have one parent that is Jewish and another that is Catholic that you should celebrate BOTH Hanukkah and Christmas?

The same could be said of Christianity (or any religion for that matter; except for the observed by almost nobody part); Followers of Kwanzaa haven't had 2000 years to force their beliefs on as much of the world as they could through warfare, torture and fear.....
but give them time BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Ummm....no. Christianity and other religions are based on supposed events as well as traditions. Kwanzaa was just made up on a whim by some half baked militant.

Well that's how many people feel about religions in general. That they are created by nutcases.
I did read it. And I did follow it last year. The rabbi threatened a lawsuit unless a menorah was added. Instead, the airport removed the tree.
I think the original post asking about the rabbi / tree situation might have said he wanted them removed??
Christmas is Christian holiday ~ not a Jewish one. No menorah's.
Christmas is on Dec 25 (in the US). It isn't the entire month of December. By your logic, there shouldn't be a tree up, until argueably, Dec 24, and it should come down after Dec 26.
Here in NY, you have a lot of children who are of mixed religion. They celebrate both, and enjoy both immensely. Who would deprive a kid of more presents?
