No. I don't need to explain either, it simply doesn't. [MOD CUT]

I think the media has a bias to whatever doesn't sell.

Not particularly. The world might be more liberal than the American right would prefer, so current events might cover liberal concerns more than conservative, but if the media were really liberal it would have turned on its owners long ago. A liberal media would not have gone to court to fight for the right to lie in its stories out of fear of angering a corporate advertiser. A liberal media wouldn't give so much air time on Meet the Press to the Republicans - I bet John McCain has his own dressing room by now. A liberal media wouldn't have fired Phil Donahue for questioning the invasion of Iraq. And I don't go for that low-frequency stuff myself, but I gather that the AM band isn't exactly a bastion of liberal thought.

The media certainly isn't liberal in the sense it's used today by those who cry about how the media is so liberal. My issue is that it's vapid. CNN broadcasts all day, it has time to do a better job than it does. If there is a general bias in the media, and especially news, it's a bias in favour of suckitude. No, I think the media that isn't blatantly right-wing is at least small-c conservative; maintain the status quo, don't rock the boat, shut up and shop, and God Bless America.

I wonder: what would conservative media be like? Forgetting right-wing media like Fox and Limbaugh and the like, what is it people who cry the media's too liberal are looking for?

It has a corporatist/institutionalist/elite Manhattanite bias, if anything. That sometimes co-incides with issues seen as being championed by "liberals," especially in the cultural sphere. But ask yourself - how much time has the American media actually spent doing real investigative journalism on the big investment banks and their culpability in the financial crisis - surely one of the biggest issues of our time?

How much skeptical reporting did the American media do on the USA-PATRIOT Act or the Iraq War before they happened? The New York Times was carrying front page articles on Iraq by Judith Miller, of all people.

How many articles has the elite media run on the extraordinary corporate kickbacks that seem to exist between top senators and various industries/financial interests?

The media serves its paymasters. It's pretty much as simple as that.

Oh hell yes they surely do. Anyone who says otherwise, does not live on this planet.
And they are cracked in their heads!

It is clear, there is no being fair, with the media twirps, and yes they do, protect one side, regardless of how stupid ignorant, and moronic they are. What lying two faced deceitful bastards they are. To say no, you sure as hell ain't living in this real world. A dummy could figure this out.

No. The media has a corporate bias. I don't see anything remotely left-wing being actively promoted in the "liberal" media, besides gay marriage.

I heard that Fox Nation, World Net Daily, and Breitbart have a conservative bias. Is this true?
