So there is finally an alternative to the pathetic neocon news and my cable provider does not even carry it. Al Jazeera has been officially launched today, but the 2 major service providers in the NY/NJ area, Time Warner and Cable vision do not air it. Thank god for the internet. There is also RT News for excellent information

I saw a commercial on direct tv for it just a few hours ago.

I'm cutting the cable cord, and going pure streaming or over the air sources

AT&T dropped Al Jazeera yesterday - a day before it launched. TimeWarner dropped them few months ago but may bring the back. Fox had a bit about them today but of course the background clips were all of the Taliban. Not very subtle Fox.
