of course man has a role. the question is how much? i believe we go through cycles of heating and cooling, but what we do on earth is accerelating whatever cycle we are in.

Well Natalie it was a trick question, it hasn't increased. It's decreased and decreased substantially and that is great achievement. The issue now is we're entering the area of diminishing returns, the analogy I like to use is we could build a car that 100% survivable in an accident but that is pointless if no one can afford the car. We're at that point with energy where regulations on top of the old ones are not producing very many benefits and just drive the costs up. They could in fact be detrimental to peoples health, e.g. Grandma freezing to death becsue she can't afford the price of energy. Sadly that is not all that uncommon.
