Well, Waters is a genius and a talented musician. I don't know if I agree with him here but I acknowledge the intelligence of the man.

I don't know.

To be honest, the only song of his I can identify off the top of my head is "Cat Scratch Fever."

I suspect he's more famous for things besides his music (which I won't go into here, but "draft" and "poop" come to mind).

Meh. If liberal celebrities want to blather on and on, so can he. He's probably more popular now for his views than his music ... that's hard to do. Just goes to show how many people agree with him.
I still wouldn't want to hear it at his concert.

Waters is a genius.

I'll agree with those, though, who say they would rather not have a lot of political stuff at a concert when they've paid good money to see a musical performance.

Years ago, I saw Jackson Browne in concert (awesome!), and while he did mention a few of his environmental projects (most specifically his opposition to nuclear power plants), it was a very minute part of his show and didn't detract at all from his wonderful performance.

Really?

What does Syria have to do with a thread about Israel and Roger Waters?

Israel is a rich country...they don't need U.S. aid, yet we give it to them despite how much trouble they cause for us. Incredible.

Its not aid and there was never a need. It was a payoff to Israel, and to Egypt, to give the Sinai Peninsula to the Egyptians and have 100% first in line access to the Suez Canal.
