what's up with that? lead story on left wing extremist blog the huffington post has been about obama evolving the last couple of days. he's evolved on gay marriage, and now he's evolving on medical marijuana. why is this not a flip flop? is it because many republicans don't believe in evolution?

Because realizing gay marriage is not the downfall of society & that legalizing marijuana is not the downfall of society IS in fact evolving.

Indeed. I admit that it may be difficult for right-wingers, steeped in the mythos of reactionary perspective, to see progress as a positive thing.

I view evolving as changing one's point of view over a period of time. "Flip Flopping" is changing one's view constantly depending on who one is speaking too. The fact that Romney's stance on issues seemed to constantly change back and forth depending on his audience and who he was trying to convince during campaigning is more a "Flip Flop" than evolving.

what I see is a two faced politician who said one thing during the election cycle, and once he won, he flip flopped. I know it must hurt you to realize that you voted for nothing more than an android puppet.

When the republicans are in charge then they can "evolve" and the democrats will do the flip-flopping. Thank you.

seeing as how obama was well into his 40's during the 2008 campaign, I'd say his political philosophies were fully developed.

according to liberals, republicans are in charge. this is why it is taking so long to get anything done. if democrats were in charge, obama would be able to push through more of his horrific agenda. "cash for clunkers" anyone?
