He can always practice what he preaches and cook his meat over carbon neutral wood in one of the six gazillion fireplaces in either energy sucking mansion.... oh wait a minute. One those is in Cali, wood burning may be banned in that location.
I wonder if you also agree with the scientists who said Gore was wrong about a new hurricane category, but said he was was correct about how burning fossil fuels is triggering climate change?
Stay on topic.
Just ask yourself this.....if the ocean levels are "rising to dangerous levels", why would algore and the other leftie wackos keep building ocean front estates?
How can you question the intelligence or the integrity of the man who in his own words "invented the internet". Al Gore was an idiot 13 years ago and is once again proving that a leopard doesn't change it's spots.
BTW....his father was a racist southern democrat who fought against the equal rights amendment.

I just thought I'd throw that out there.
And I'm surprised the City of Houston didn't sue AlGore over all that slandering he did of it during the 2000 election campaign, for simply being located in Bush's home state.
Climate change (formerly known as "global warming") happens regardless how much fossil fuels are burning.
Climate change has taken place since we've had an atmosphere. Whatever the amount of greenhouses in the atmosphere at any point in time played a large role in determining climate. At the present we are adding more and more greenhouse gases to the atmosphere, which affects our climate.

Then why was there a cooling trend from 1940 to 1970 compared to 1900 to 1940? There was much more industry in the later decades.

that is not a cooling trend, that is a stabilization, temperatures between 1940 and 1970 where both higher than temps in between 1900 and 1940 and on an upward trend.

Nah.
The earths climate has changed hundreds of times just over the last 100,000 years.
We have very little to do with global conditions.
Sure, we have an effect on local environment, but not global.
"In this column that appeared Aug. 10 on the Forum Page, writer Peter Schweizer inaccurately stated that former vice president Al Gore receives royalties from a zinc mine on his property in Tennessee despite his environmental advocacy. He no longer does, as the mine was closed in 2003.
Al Gore has spoken: The world must embrace a "carbon-neutral lifestyle." To do otherwise, he says, will result in a cataclysmic catastrophe. "Humanity is sitting on a ticking time bomb," warns the website for his film, An Inconvenient Truth. "We have just 10 years to avert a major catastrophe that could send our entire planet into a tailspin."
This was said by algore 8 years ago....we're still waiting!
