When former Secretary of Labor Ray Donovan was acquitted of larceny and fraud charges in 1987, he famously asked "Which office do I go to to get my reputation back?" After reading about the dismissal of Lisa Jackson's lawsuit against Paula Deen, I wonder if that question crossed Ms. Deen's mind. Or do you think she deserved the bad publicity?

Ah, my only thought after reading the article about the "settlement" was that "money talks".

I think it was ridiculous what happened to Paula Deen. Way over the top. She should just continue to lay low. Don't go looking for more deal right now...she's still got enough money. Just quietly live life and at some point, maybe she can get another cooking show (not on Food Network though, lol).

I agree ; its just a sign of what society has become with people loving to see people destroyed. But financially she is well off at least.

Paula Deen accuser is singing new tune after legal agreement - latimes.com

Paula Deen
She absolutely deserves the bad publicity, for what she did. She already admitted what she did not wrong so why wouldn't she recieve bad publicity.

The whole sorry affair will probably make her more proactive in reigning in her brother's management style in their restaurant. The dismissal did not signify that Paula did nothing wrong, just that the claimant had no grounds to sue because the incidents did not affect her directly. The way the restaurant was run sounded like a hotbed of racism and sexual harassment.

She still has plenty of money, and should be able to live well the rest of her life, even if she doesn't return to television. In a few years she may get back to the limelight, but for now she should just lay low, as another poster recommended.

I agree. She needs to lay low and be very private right now. No more headline news.

Paula and Bubba should have paid that employee off and kept the whole messy situation out of the media. She should have learned that after her diabetes scandal. Oprah will most likely come to her rescue and give her a show.

A nice fat check to Jessie Jackson (aka king of the poverty pimps) should help clear her image.

Where does Paula Deen go to get her reputation back?

The same place the lying, philandering, draft-dodging coward known as Bill Clinton did.
