True on a limited basis. Many laws apply to all businesses, some apply only based on things like minimum headcounts. In all cases, businesses can be penalized for failure to obey laws, whether they like them or not, and that is perfect in a nation of laws.
On a side note, how do you feel about the Obama admin's tendency to ignore laws passed by Congress, and signed into law by the prez (in some cases by Obama himself).

Hate it, and it goes back several decades-it is not strictly this admin. Congress is exempt from EEOC laws, and almost all vital employment laws. I'd like an all encompassing bill requiring an unwinnable majority 90-10, to make any law not null and void if Congress exempts itself. EVER.
Someone with actual knowledge of law..refreshing. We are a nation of laws.
Do you think Buu's post was about laws or what he believes?
Private sector discrimination exists and is often legal. That is what allows all-male or all-female organizations to exist. The various sections of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 do not prohibit all private business owner from choosing who the business caters to.

You seem to have missed the two posts that implied that my message was actually, in some way, a trap. My post was "about laws" rather than necessarily what I "believe" because the message was practically word-for-word the law.
Unlike Woolworth's Jim Crow South, Sam's cannot deny a non-member access. Ever. It cannot deny anyone willing to pay the fee membership. Ever.
Disabilities vary by state. A friend owned a trailer newsstand in the Northeast-could not install a restroom-for only his use-unless A/D/A complient, and unless he allowed customers who asked access to it.
OK. But my point, which still stands, is that I don't know of ANY civil rights laws that apply to all businesses. Do you?

I kinow of few that apply to stuff run from one's home, as that does not break the plane requiring public accomodation. Realistically, those corps are glorified kid's lemonaid stands, unless they reach the size requiring their own location.
