You're stretching to not make The President the focal point. Mr. Obama is leading the charge - or so far has asked Mr. Kerry to lead his charge for him. He decided at the last minute to go to Congress. His administration has also allowed for the discussion about whether ornot he would still go through with it if Congress didn't support it. It's a big stretch to shift this away from him. If it were to go ahead, of course those that vote to support it from either side would also be responsible for the decision.

Failure or not he has not been a leader. It's what I've said all about him from the beginning. He is not a leader but rather nothing more than what he is. A community organizer. This is a perfect example.

A community organizer stirs the pot and makes a mess and expects someone else to come in and find answers. That someone in this case appears to be Putin.

And if Congress approves, will you still lay 100% blame on Obama? Of course you will!!!! You're so predictable.

Russia, the voice of reason over blood.

Who would have thought....

Can we reign in Kerry, McCain, Graham and Obama at this point though ?
They are intent on bombing.

What is predictable is you not reading my whole post - you know, the part where I said, "If it were to go ahead, of course those that vote to support it from either side would also be responsible for the decision."

Folks slow down. Obama admin is walking this back they are both downplaying Kerrys comments and Russian offer while claiming the Russian offer is a result of the threat of force.

Again amateur hour.

I think Russia's offer is the result of the UN finally getting its s**t together:

"I am considering urging the Security Council to demand the immediate transfer of Syria’s chemical weapons and chemical precursor stocks to places inside Syria where they can be safely stored and destroyed," Mr. Ban said.

It may not have been a smart thing to say, but at least he's stepping back. I don't recall W stepping back from his infamous "significant quantities of Uranium from Africa" bulls**t.
