Talking about anything other than Obama is simply impossible for some people.

President Barack Obama held discussions with Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and French President Francois Hollande on Monday – the latest in a series of phone calls to allies as the United States lays the groundwork for potential military action.
Is this suppose to be a joke?

Obama lead something? He didn't even lead on Obamacare, he passed that off to Reid and Pelosi.

Obama is sending disingenuous messages that contradict his previous statements.

He is failing to call congress.

The UK voted down military force.

France is backing off.

All while Obama is threatening illegal actions against the will of America.

I have made enough requests for people to stick to the topic of Syria and US, and leave the partisan garbage out of it, but apparently it is simply impossible for some people.

Pay no attention to the OP,...it's a personal thingy with him.

Pray tell,..how does one discuss the "leadership" that the OP touted in his opening salvo without talking about Obama? Per the OP, Obama has taken the leadership role, but it seems that Obama drew the red line in the sand,....had his red line challenged by the apparent use of chemical weapons,...looked around to see who would back him up, and found that those who oppose his strike outnumber those who supported it.

Maybe Obama is "leading" the retreat,....but he certainly does not have the solid "following" of the West.

UK parliament is very sceptical about the Syria mission, and they state the Iraq scandal as the reason. In US 80% of the people say the WH should get Congress approval before pulling the trigger. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

UK, U.N. and U.S. get jitters over intervention in Syria - CNN.com

UK, U.N. and U.S. get jitters over intervention in Syria

(CNN) -- [Breaking news alert 7:31 a.m. ET]
The Obama administration will release on Friday declassified intelligence backing up the U.S. government assessment that the Syrian regime was responsible for a chemical weapons attack outside Damascus last week, a senior administration official said. The administration has said that the information would be made public by the end of the week.

[Previously published story]
Going it alone against the Syrian government is not what President Barack Obama wants, U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel said Friday.
But that scenario is looking more and more likely.
A day earlier, the United States' closest ally, Great Britain, backed out of a possible coalition. A U.N. Security Council meeting on Syria ended in deadlock, and in the U.S. Congress, doubts about military intervention are making the rounds.
Skeptics of military action are invoking Iraq, where the United States government under President George W. Bush marched to war based on a thin claim that former dictator Saddam Hussein was harboring weapons of mass destruction.

Declassified intelligence? The same kind of "declassified" intelligence that was released about Benghazi? Would it also include a memo revised numerous times until they got the right narrative?

There cannot be an "assessment". There has to be indisputable proof. Why the wait to show the "proof"?
