Defunding Obamacare continues to be the wrong strategy. It's the right goal, but you will never get the American people (60%+) to agree to it.

Gotta do it in small chunks...

There are no death panels.

You want to cut all of these people off from health insurance because of poutrage.
It's the first step towards single payer.

The USSC has declared healthcare legal.

Is this really the US that you want?
Technically you are right - there are currently no death panels - but there will have to be at some point if they are going to manage their costs. They will reject giving people health care if there are money concerns.

What we what is affordable healthcare via competition/free market with reasonable regulations. The cost structure is too high because there are so many hands in the revenue stream. Get the costs down where more people can freely afford their own care when they need it.

Actually, there have been "death panels" for quite some time. Well, maybe not panels as much as low-paid individuals at insurance companies who are instructed to deny claims to longtime policy holders.

The rally, scheduled to be held the day after Congress resumes following its August recess, is being organized by a number of conservative outfits such as ForAmerica and Tea Party Patriots. The Brent Bozell-run ForAmerica recently likened Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to a chicken for resisting the efforts to defund Obamacare, underscoring the divide in the GOP on the issue.

Go ahead, guys, shut the government down when you don't get your way. That strategy has worked so well for your party in the past.

Unfortunately for them, neither defunding the ACA nor a government shut down is likely to happen, and Cruz is smart enough to know that. This is nothing more than political posturing to get some cred with the far right for the future.

This is nothing more than an attempt to save the country from the horrendous Obamacare trainwreck.

Talking Cruz, Paul & Tea Party To Hold Rally on Capitol Hill To Defund Obamacare

Right wing pipsqueaks announce silly anti-Obama rally.

The public stays away in large numbers.

I find it amusing that the only ones who showed up for this anti-Obamacare rally are people for whom the law will have zero impact on their own healthcare. All these seniors living off of Medicare, protesting a law that makes healthcare available for those of us who don't have the kind of government subsidized healthcare that they enjoy. There's a special place in hell for these stupid, selfish, self-centered old people.

The epitome of pandering. At least we can rest assured that none of these guys will ever occupy the White House.

Since when has health care not been available for you or anyone else?

Since I'm self-employed and was priced out of the market long ago. But that's going to change very shortly.
