Why Is the GOP Killing Off Its Own Base?

More GOP voters actually die because of greedy corporate behavior than the number of Americans who were killed in the wars on Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and the Twin Towers combined.

You do realize that many foreign companies are nationally backed, don't you? You do realize that Americans cannot compete globally because their wages are too high compared to developing nations, don't you?

You do realize that a foreign company, backed by their government, especially a holding company, could potentially purchase 51% of the shares of stock in one of your corporations and fire all your employees and shut down your production facilities, don't you?

You do understand that companies are fighting for their lives which is why the must offshore their production facilities in order to sell to developing nations, don't you?

The article doesn't address anything. In fact, the article seems to be an opinion piece by another idiotic writer that only has particular party interests in mind without looking at the big picture and putting their bias aside.

Maybe you want to live in your car and eat cardboard and mud. Perhaps, that is your prerogative, but I imagine that most users enjoy being able to eat real food and live in their house.

The article is just a rant and a bad one at that and is slanted for the very ignorant.

Well of course. The poor are just getting in the way of them getting even more money.

Why do you think the GOP is trying to defund helping people in trouble to help businesses operating normally?

I don't get it ! All this ranting about corporations, businesses and rich people . Who the hell do you think employs people ? And pays 99% of the taxes ? Do the people on welfare hire anyone ? Do poor people hire anyone ? Do unions hire anyone (other that the crooks at the top) ? NO, if it wasn't for the corporations, businesses and rich nobody would have a job ! Everybody would be on the dole except there wouldn't be any welfare to be handed out.

"More GOP voters actually die because of greedy corporate behavior than the number of Americans who were killed in the wars on Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and the Twin Towers combined. "

This is a ridiculous statement made to give tiny minds what they want to hear. And by the way, for all you Dems out there , you do know that there are MORE Democrat millionaires in congress than Republicans dont you ? Didn't think so.

The USG spends over $1 trillion per year on means tested welfare programs.
Should we spend $2 trillion ?

Globalism is winning. You were warned at least a decade ago if not longer that this would happen.
But you didn't listen. Times were good, prices were dropping as companies slowly offshored for cheaper labor.

Now you're crying because there are no jobs left in the US for you.

You could have elected Ross Perot but you didn't.
Now live with the consequences.

Meanwhile DNC backed corps that have gotten bailouts and subsidies continue to fail and we lose ALL that money. I'd say the biggest welfare queens are the DNC backed corps.

Exactly.
This is what I was trying to get across in the other thread.
It is bigger than our stupid political parties.

How stupid are people? Seriously the writer of the article is a moron or is a bona fide agent of the DNC but in either case they are telling lies.

The biggest corporate welfare recipient/corporate sucker of the government teat is General Electric. Some years ago when GE owned NBC, NBC got on a serious hard news kick, telling us how the incandescent light bulb was killing us all.

They even had their Football sets turn off the lights to show solidarity with the "Green Movement" (they created) to rid the country of the evil incandescent light bulb.

GE sent their corporate thug lobbyist into the halls of congress to get backing for a LAW to OUTLAW the incandescent light bulb because it was EVIL!

Then the week before the vote, NBC decided it was a perfect time to have "GREEN WEEK". Their hard news teams went out and did serious news on global warming and all things green and how incandescent light bulbs were killing whales and such.

Guess what happened? Congress passed a law that outlawed incandescent light bulbs. What do we replace them with? CFL bulbs...FULL OF FREAKING MERCURY!!!! Guess who the largest maker of CFL bulbs is? GENERAL FREAKING ELECTRIC.

GE came up with some new technology to produce a bulb that screwed in like the incandescent but was Florescent (CFL) these bulbs cost way more than the incandescent so they weren’t being bought even though they did save on the electric bill.... GE came up with a plan to get their "Green allies" (read liberals) to help them.

GE now fills our landfills with broken mercury filled bulbs. That will eventually seep into the water table and we will be screwed. But in the meantime GE is making billions.

Oh and just so you know, GE makes billions but doesn’t pay taxes. At all.

GE was (maybe still is?) run by Jeffery Emmelt who is a HUGE liberal and a big-time supporter of Barak Obama. There is no bigger corporate welfare recipient and no bigger liberal supporter on the planet.

GE is not the only one.
