I don't know where it's going, but to call it a "cesspool of evil, greed, and repute" seems a bit, uhm dramatic.
It's still, by far, the most populous state in the union. Can't be all bad, then, can it? If it sucked so much, more people would leave. As it is, people are still moving there.
BTW, I'm impressed with your thick skin - you do get whacked left and right on this forum.
