China trades with Syria. They have a vested interest.

The US doesn't seem to care about anything but their agenda.
Looks like Russia and China have opinions this time round since they trade with Syria.

I suspect if we traded with Syria as we do with China we'd probably be more willing to overlook human rights violations there, eh?

China minds their own business. They are not the world police.

If a people do not like their living conditions they need to rise up and change it.
An internal civil war has much more meaning when it's fought from within.

Lincoln went to great strides to make sure that no foreign country got involved in our Civil War.
The Civil War was our internal war. It was up to us and no one else.

You either police the world with your ideology or you let people do it themselves.

No country in the ME is anywhere near ready for US style "democracy". They are still living by tribal and religious rule.

Our government is indirectly fighting it out with Russia through the two opposing sides in Syria.

Not every country and culture is compatible with American style "democracy" either. Shoving it down their throats is wrong.

at this time it looks like no solid evidence, no go...or else. K pretty much has destroyed the new career in opinion. The other two guys possibly as well MCain and Lindsy...too pushy and bent on an idea all about guns for solutions. I don't think the red line and sending the ships was a bad idea with the knowledge of the evolving nature of these things but yuh gotta be able to show the evidence plus there's nothing wrong with bringing the ships back all part of a changing dynamic at any time and trying something else, but would of been better to do before the meetings and would of had much more leverage in recognizing the whole worlds interest in the ultimate objective...yuh need a plan that is equipped with respectable escape routes.

plus that lady that just came on the live, the redhead girl, HUGE mistake nailing on Russia in the guys own country...yuh don't phrase things which beg the world to pic sides with sharp villain overtones...yuh phrase the thing for peace with everybody then the objective...People discover knowledge yuh don't try to feed them like pets for self goals in the properties at hand. A villain thing never works like that, people want hope . Rolling people over is a bad idea plus she failed to answer the very first question railroading with lets look at the development of events...man, didn't look to good ( hopefully there exists built in plan B -C etc . I would of thought for example plan C...was infact plan A.

And this is how little mistakes happen that escalate into big problems. Thank goodness Swiftboat Johnny is in charge.

You've sketched a very nice outline for foreign policy in general.

Too bad we're apparently a long way off from retiring as world cop
