HappyTexan, I got with TexasReb and got him to put together a poll on legalization in Texas. You will have to check out the poll on it. He posted it in Texas forum.

Yes they are. California is only a medical marijuana state, recreational use is still illegal there. Washington and Colorado are the only two in which it's legal to possess without a prescription..

That is something left to the people/states.
Nobody answered me when I asked that either.

Not hard to guess why.

We have another thread where a state is going to pass laws that trump federal gun laws. What if we had AG that was friendly to those that support gun rights and decided not enforce federal gun laws, what's your opinion then?

It's not about whether the law is right or wrong, it's simply not his decision to decide what the law is which is what he's doing by not enforcing them.

I was thinking the same thing!

So you disagree with Arizona's SB 1070 - show me your papers law?

How about attempts at the state and local level to pass laws that would restrict enforcement of federal gun laws?

What about all of the state laws that have been passed that expand restrictions on abortion in conflict with Roe v. Wade?

If the federal courts or congress made same sex marriage legal nationwide and forced all states to recognize it even where it conflicts with state law or constitutions would you still feel the same way?

Bottom line, the question is, does the executive branch get to write the law. Apparently in the minds of lefties and Obama fans, the answer is 'yes.'

In Colorado, if you don't have a dispensary card, you cannot buy or have pot.
The card is the tax. Then there is sales tax on top of that.
