Muslim conference cancelled after Quebec objects to speakers | CTV Montreal News

Way to go Quebec! Thank you for not letting any Islamic radicals in to your province giving out hate speeches against non-Muslims, Western women and Jews.

One speaker, Nader About Anas, had previously said that women are "servants of Allah" and are "not free to do what they want in this world."

I believe in free speech, however since Canada has these retarded hate speech laws, I support this action. Too many times we see people charged with hate speech over a racist slur or by making a legitimate point that may be un PC. Meanwhile the protected minorities get away with hate speech all the time.. It's a double standard. Good job on Quebec for taking action on those actually committing the hate speech.

People in Canada don't get charged for simply making a racist slur. Hate speech entails far more than that.

Yea, I may be thinking of England then, where cops will bash in your door at 1 am and arrest you for posting racist remarks on Twitter (google it).

Anyways, arresting and charging someone for their thoughts is ridiculous no matter what.
