What is the benefit of having females serve in combat roles when A) most wont be able to handle it anyways and B) it will inevitably cause a disturbance within the unit?

Wars have been fought for thousands of years without females.. Let me ask you. Do you honestly think that women who received the same training as men could have stormed the beaches of Normandy sucessfully against a wall of German/French/Czech/Italian men, tanks and artillery?
Ask the Israelis.

And once again there are women out there that could take down most men before they even knew what hit them, so, if THOSE women want to serve in combat units and they can do so on EQUAL terms then why not let them.

tHAT IS RIGHT, THEY LOWERED THE STANDARDS TREMENDOUSLY TO ALLOW THEM ON, AND PEOPLE DIE ON A REGUALR BASIS IN THIS COUNTRY AS A RESULT. yET HOW OFTEN DO YOU HEAR ABOUT IT IN THE NEWS OR ON SHOWS LIKE 60 mINUTES?

sO TRYING TO PLAY BOTH SIDES OF THE COIN DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN PRETEND TO LIVE IN IGNORANT BLISS BY PROCLAIMING SO CALLED "EQUALITY", WHEN THE RESULTS WILL MEAN LOWERING OF STANDARDS TO ALLOW MORE WOMEN IN.

Don't look now, but it appears some blood sucking lawyer has run off with your Caps Lock as well.

Then all able-bodied women should be required to register for Selective Service, on EQUAL terms with all able-bodied men. If they are not able to meet the exact same standards and requirements that all men must meet, then wash them out, just like they would do to any man who failed to meet the same standards and requirements.

Really? Then why don't we see professional co-ed boxing or MMA? Do you suppose the ladies would mind if they opened the LPGA up to men to give them a shot at those matches and that prize money? If they can meet the same requirements then they can have a job. The problem is it won't be long before the requirements are updated to be more "progressive".

Too late. The military standards and requirements for women have already been significantly lowered under the Carter administration.

You have gone off topic again, we are not talking about all women in the military we are only talking about Combat soldiers and women being able or not to perform the duties. That help?

Many women that are the same weight class could beat the snot out of the men they fought, but hey that is another topic, try sticking with it if you have anything to add to the discussion.

So why don't men and women compete against each other in any sports with weight class?
