Maybe those plates belong to Canadian parents taking their kids on an educational field trip?

America's is.
You have to have some level of profit. They are constantly being sued here and need money for research and development.

Everything is for profit. The health care workers don't show up for free. Nor do they just ask for food and lodging in exchange for their services.

I do live there. I thought having 'Montreal, Quebec" on top of every post would make that quite clear. I guess I was mistaken.
I used to live in the US.

Are you sure you live in Canada?
Taxes pay for health services. Paying healthcare workers falls under that umbrella. Who, exactly, is making this profit you speak of?

Well, we've entered the profit part of this debate.

Weltschmerz, I suggest you concede defeat. Getting an American to admit that the sole purpose of existence isn't for profit is impossible. You'd have better luck convincing a fish it doesn't need water to live.

I thought I made that clear. Read my post again.

I'll give you a clue. Are doctors driving around in beat-up Hyundais?

I suppose you're right. Especially an American who has been brainwashed by the Koch/Fox propaganda machine. What was I thinking?
