So people refuse to acknowledge it, but its there. The is a massive adoration of socialistic policies amongst the black community. Many black activist constantly belittle capitalism in support of socialistic policies. The black panther party was unapolgetically socialistic, as is the NAACP. Black intellectuals like Colonel West are known Marxist as well. But why isn't blacks and their endorsement of socialism not as publicized?

I believe I can show the decline of the black population once socialism was introduced and sold to the community as a viable solution of their problems. Socialism is very good at getting the support of lower income people, it is how socialism as a system is allowed to be accepted. The issue is that socialism creates a culture of despair, hopelessness, and ignorance. Black Americans aren't the first people to adopt this mindset, and they won't be the last. The type of attitudes that are pervasive amongst the black constituency can be seen many times throughout history. The attitudes amongst blacks in America are not unlike the attitude amongst the lowest class in the USSR. This is the type of culture that socialism promotes and creates.

Now I am not going to bash socialism, as I'm well read in the topic. I'm very much willing to break down and defend my stance against socialism, and why I do think it's consistent with the adoption of counter productive and ignorant cultures.

Peta Lindsay, a black woman, ran for President in 2012 on The Party for Socialism and Liberation ticket. She has talked about how her father used to say the only group that accepted Blacks were communists.

which is actually a lie if one takes into account the reality.

communists by words accepted blacks but USSR and post-soviet countries are ones of the most racist societies under the sun.

Same is in China.

Communism accepts everyone by virtue of it's existence. It is up to people to embrace communism themselves. Communism is it's own press agent. I believe Karl Marx was a marketing genius as it's very easy to sell communism. Communism is a dearly held philosophy of the sheltered intellectual, as well as the people who are ignorance of human nature, history, and economics. Communism spreads through indoctrination, and the false assumption that understanding it's nature is through the acquisition of knowledge. Capitalism isn't the arch enemy of communism, reality is.

Meh, I'm already fighting a class warfare battle in another thread and don't have the energy to argue.

In any event, Lindsay is kind of sexy so I watched a lot of her videos.

If you dont like socialism, that is fine, but you should have probably started off this thread by explaining how black people are socialist. You put forth nothing to back up your claim.

also, was Colonel West suppose to be Cornell West ? or were you talking about Allen West by his military rank ?

Sure Blacks support socialism, to an extent. They support a strong central gov't, a strong safety net, and varying degrees of oversight to protect civil liberties. Just like ~80% of the world does.

The real problem is American Conservatives and their ignorant fear of "socialism."

Like I've said before, to find a major political group as extreme as American Conservatives, you have to look in Islamic theocracies.

Right, because there's no such thing as a black-owned business.

Most polls show about 60% of Blacks support socialism. I expect the number to increase substantially as our country continues to sort itself based on cognitive ability and education. Many Blacks will simply not be able to compete and socialism will become even more attractive.

I came across a stat that floored me. That only 65% of Blacks graduate high school with a diploma.

This is very easy. Many blacks ask for increased government benefits, special programs from the government for them, and political policies specifically for them.

Many blacks have a strong distaste for the upper class or middle class as well. This is a CORE value of socialism. In any case where socialism has spread, a strong distain and distrust for the wealthy class. On top of this many blacks and black leaders ask for redistribution of wealth. Redistribution is a another vital function of socialism, because distribution can only come a centrally planned economy. The government HAS to control production in order to redistribute.

Anyone who reads history has a justifiable fear of socialism. It has consistently failed anywhere it has been tried or attempted. The system itself in fundamentally flawed at many levels. But systematically socialism starts to fall apart when it tries to "umbrella" a critical mass of people underneath it's "safety net". It because very unsustainable.

Socialism hasn't gone away, because socialistic practices are always popular amongst the poverty class. It's an easy trip to the office for politicians to promote socialism. In either case, while socialistic policies have been adopted by plenty of American politicians, it has never been explicitly called that by them. Pretty clever, but it's still socialism in function.
