seeing as Sony did away with rootkit nearly 6 years ago, you are clinging to something that no longer applies.

Funny how you don't give Apple/iTunes the same scorn as Apple still uses DRM with the music they sell through iTunes. Not to mention the DRM they use for any movies/tv episodes they sell through iTunes.

Neither of these are stealing.

I don't support anything Sony is doing in regards to their rootkits. You and your liberal mindset keeps deflecting the discussion as if this has something to do with the illegal activity of pirating.
Liberal mindset? LOL.

So you think rootkit has nothing to do with this whole situation? Are you that blind?

Since they no longer do rootkits, its a moot point. Sony stopped doing rootkits in 2007

Yet Apple still has DRM

KUChief is hardly a liberal.

I never said that it was. That is the excuses used by thieves for justifying their illegally downloading music/movies.

I don't know who said you should be in jail because you shouldn't. But you did participate in illegal activities back then and it is no different today.

you would have to have half a brain to think that was my argument.

Just because something is illegal it doesn't make it immoral. Many things that are illegal are immoral. Many are not.

It's not immoral to take a sip of wine one hour before your 21st birthday. It's certainly illegal.

It's not immoral to jaywalk across the street. Again, it is illegal.

And it wasn't immoral for me to make a mixed-tape of my favorite songs and give it to Sally in 10th grade. It was illegal though.

Why are you using 6 year old argument? Rootkits from Sony hasn't existed since 2007

Why do you ignore that Apple still uses DRM?

The fact does apply. They did it and they got caught. You folks want to justify it for some reason as if they are better than us. Now tell my why the government shut down all those torrent sites for no reason? Tell me who donates piles of money to the candidates.
