Greedy pigs.
Very good point.

Electricity in itself is not intellectual property.

People who won't pay $10 to see a new movie or $1.29 to download a song are absolutely greedy pigs. I agree.

One of the things I was arguing several days ago when this still interested me. Their rationalization for "sharing" newspapers and books to others was one of "scale." You see, it's okay to "steal" from producers if you only do it a little...

You also bring up in your other post another point I was making, the utter pointlessness of focusing on this stuff. They cannot stop file sharing. They cannot even put a dent in it. And they never will. What we have here is a small cadre of "self-published" authors (This is a euphemism for "people who write things that no one else wants to read") and others who wish to emote. The day one of them comes up with a reasonable solution that doesn't involve a tyrannical overreach from the federal government is the day I grow horns.

And there's no reason to believe that it won't happen that way.

Who exactly is the author of language?

Language in itself is not intellectual property. The expression of language or a brand name is. Big difference.

You clearly don't understand the concept of copyright. Why don't you go read a primer and get back to us.
