Well it doesn't make any difference today.
Most kids don't bother to mouth the pledge in school.
It's usually me and the student over the intercom.

It's enough I can get them to stand and at least face the flag when it's time for the pledge.

We could cease with the pledge and few would question why.

I think you religious nut jobs are a bunch of angry douches, trying left and right to defend the existence of some deity that has never been proven to exist. Why doesn't the religious rite keep their God in their homes and churches. Why does it need to be in public places?

I don't think it's stupid or idiotic to reject something that for one has never been proven and two is used and has always been used as a way to manipulate the masses and nothing else. I think you're the idiots for believing to no end.

Life begins in the womb when the government says it does..right ?
Can't object to gay lifestyle when there is no Bible to quote..right ?

Get rid of religion and the government will legislate your morals.
Seriously? I see no reason for anyone to object to those things, especially contraception. You think women are nothing more than incubators with legs? You think they should have no control over their reproduction?

You don't sue the school and you don't sue the state to get the pledge changed.

You work with your Rep who gets Congress to change it.
That is how our government works.

Thanks for proving my point.... the angry atheist part.... nice personal attack

It is what it is...... if you were to spend as much time an effort on a real issue like stopping world hunger, we would have no hungry people

It is funny how up in arms your tiny group is over this..... take a deep breath, and get over it.... it isnt changing

Nobody is forcing you to worship their God.... you can ignore it in a public place if it offends you, just like everyone else has to ignore other things that offend them

Love the idea that religion is only here to object to things.

Nope..I was referring to the religious aspect of it.
Are you religious ?

Any woman can go out and buy contraceptives and pay with her own money.
What we have now though is the expectation that someone else will pay for them.
And that someone else objects on religious grounds and they are taken to court.

That's exactly what happened with contraceptives.
No one tried to prevent that woman from getting them whatsoever.
