The words "under God" will be reviewed in MA state court after group of atheists who feels it is discriminating against atheist students. Previously, the challenge has been rejected by federal court.

Those words were not part of the original pledge, they were added in the 1950s.

Republicans keep shouting and wailing that we should return to the original constitution; they should back this effort to reinstate the original pledge.

Yep. Same thing with the money. The American Taliban acts like this BS was put there by the founding fathers and it is part of some sacred tradition, mean while most of this crap was added only in the last century.

Having "under god" in the pledge doesn't mean that I have to say it. Money still spends with "in god we trust" on it. In all reality neither have the slightest impact on my life.

My preference would be to go back to the original motto on money, and go back to the pledge as originally written. But honestly I don't care either way.

Default Atheists back in court again, want MA to ban the pledge of allegiance.

They want it their way, they don't care that 90% of the population disagrees with them.

I think this is what liberalism is all about, being the loudest, most demanding child in the room.

They want it the constitutional way.

Do you even know that "under god" wasnt even in the pledge until the 50s, and our original national motto, e pluribus unum, "out of many, one," is a dotect contradiction to the exclusive "one nation under god." Considering a good 1/5 of Americand sre religiously unaffiliated, is it akin to a child screaming to ask that they dont have to pledge allegiance to a god they dont believe in or associate with?

"Under god, indivisible" is akin to "separate but equal" in that it doesnt promote equality at all. It promotes God, and excludes all those who don't believe.

If anything, its the persecution complex from the "war on christianity" that is childish. It must be so hard being the 75% majority and having your God's words on public buildings, and having our politicians telling us they answer to God's law before the US laws. What an oppresive regime we live under.

Maybe the oppressed are the atheists who, by law, can't even hold office in 7 states.

Many people are fearful of the word "God" and what it stands for.
It's part of a growing movement to turn the US secular.
With no religion and no reference to any religious deity then government can be your "god".

With no god and no religion we won't have the social issues we currently do regarding abortion, contraception, LGBT rights.
Religious people can go off and live in the shadows and have no voice in politics.

Atheists are the Progressives SS soldiers. They try to destroy any loyalty to any other entity other than government itself. Even patriotism they go after, you can't like your country because you are a danger of trying to preserve it and protect it from the theft of the Progressive horde.

Religion and Governments clash in the area of social reform.
You have to get rid of religion so that social reform is accepted.

I have no dog in this fight.
They can change the laws all they want and it won't affect me and my beliefs.
I have my line in the sand and when they want me to cross it I will refuse.

Yeah, yeah..I know what folks will say..."If you don't like it then leave".
Yes that is what I guess I will do as I don't want to be a criminal for following my religious beliefs.
