That's pretty much what he was saying.

There is no "leader of 'the' TEA party," but she is a leading voice within the movement, concerning the issues that form the foundation of the movement.

Whether or not it's "universally condemned" or that the money-grabbing, do-nothing United Nations doesn't support it, shouldn't matter one iota.

What should matter, and something that's apparently lost on this empty-suit president, is that he's alienated our allies and that they aren't interested in what he's proposed....whatever the hell that is, at this particular time because even he doesn't seem to know.

Memo to the president: You know, I'm sure you're getting regular updates from Axelrod regarding the latest poll numbers having to do with taking military action, and that you're panicking because yours are tanking, but what the hell do you want to do? At least Bush (W) and Bush dad had a mission, and stated theirs. What's yours? Is it a military secret? Why are you dispatching McCain and Lindsey Graham to take questions from reporters about something that's your responsibility?

He was indecisive while he was a senator, and he's following suit as president.

*******eta******

Did some digging. Since you mentioned Bachmann, in her words:

Oh, and Santorum as well:

There are some people that have principles...too bad none are in the White House...or in leadership positions in either the D or R party. It's mostly the mainstream neo-cons like Obama, Pelosi, Finestine, McCain and a few others that support such indescriminate attacks.
Sorry, I do not trust Santorum and Bachmann they are akin to the democrats who are only supporting the President going to war for party.
Same goes for Santorumn and Bachmann- they only oppose the war because they cant stand Obama. Do you really think if this were Romney they would be opposing him?
They are not principled.

Santorum and Bachmann both support smaller government and less spending...their big fault is pandering to the religious right. I would expect them both to oppose this. Romney...not so much. He's more "left" than both of them, I can see him going along with Obama.

What is interesting is Bieden's condemnation of his perception of Romney's stance back before the election:
Quote:

During the presidential election last year Vice
President Joe Biden attacked Mitt Romney for being “ready to go to war” in
Syria. He offered no specifics.

“He said it was a mistake to set an end date for our warriors in Afghanistan
and bring them home. He implies by the speech that he’s ready to go to war in
Syria and Iran,” Biden said Sept. 2, 2012 speaking in York, Pennsylvania.

“He wants to move from cooperation to confrontation with Putin’s Russia. And
these guys say the president’s out of touch? Out of touch? Swiss bank account,
untold millions in the Cayman Islands. Who’s out of touch, man?”
Biden On Romney In 2012: "Ready To Go To War" With Syria

Don't you find the flip-flop entertaining, now that Dems are doing exactly as he "suggested" that Romney would do?

Gary Johnson's and Ralph Nader's followers are probably the comparison you are looking for.
Liberals and Libertarians. It is the Authoritarians that are the ones causing havoc in this nation.
The Tea Party was started by Ron Paul supporters, it was hijacked by the Fox News crowd shortly thereafter.

Leftists oppose attacking Syria because they care about the people of Syria.

Tea Party folks oppose attacking Syria because they care about how the cost could affect their own comfort and luxury.

Tea Party Patriots are for protecting our founding principles.

Progressives are against all of the founding principles of America.

Many of the founders of this country were members of my religion, and we abhor the moral turpitude of the overwhelmingly egoistic avarice advocated by the Tea Party movement.
