1 million muslim march in DC. Sept 11th... syria
what could go wrong with this picture.
I get the feeling America is going to change tomorrow, I just got a bad feeling.
Remember without liberty you are no longer free. The government is ready to suspend the constitution to make you safe.. are you ready, are you prepared.
I believe the government is moving troops around (for syria) and for something else.
A bad feeling? Not me. I don't even keep it in my head that tomorrow is the 11th, & I gave the muslim march & the biker ride a fleeting thought. You worry too much.
I really don't see why they would just require the hiring of police escort like other cases since its a different type rally.offer that as requirement then see if its accepted. That is what most cities do. I mean they ok and even provide it for many human marches that do the same or worse as far has problems with traffic etc.
So? What's the problem here exactly? Is this a funeral? No? So who cares? They still can ride. Do continue to wring your hands though.

Oh wait they changed it to man march vice mudslim.
Bikers route was simple and quick.. noted DC, WE KNOW WHO YOU REALLY CATER TO.
Did their march try to get a no stop permit & were granted while the bikers were not? No? Then what exactly are you crying about? Both groups can do their thing. It's only the chicken littles on here who insist on foreseeing disaster.
Glad they aren't shutting down streets to accommodate the riders. Rush hour is hell enough as it is. Finally breathing a sigh of relief since the tourists are gone.
2 million bikers requesting to completely disrupt traffic so they can ride thru DC without stopping screams a "look at me" media photo op, more than remembering those who were killed.
The "2 Million Bikers to DC" organization was denied a no-stop permit from the city, which means it will not be allowed to ride through red lights or stop traffic. Meaning, they can still ride, but cannot expect Washington to be shut down to accommodate them. Oh, the humanity!
The Muslim group, on the other hand, applied months in advance for a permit to hold a rally. They are not asking the city to stop traffic and shut down city streets for them. The city granted their permit. How outrageous!
Now there you go, letting pesky things like facts get in the way of a right wing anti-Muslim screed.
It is so cute when the right wingers get their faux outrage meters pegged by BS like this.
I personally am happy that they didn't give the bikers permission to act like jerks by shutting down traffic for their stupid ride. Some cities have to deal with this same kind of stupidity from the hipster bicyclist Critical Mass groups and it makes people angry and creates a traffic nightmare just so a few people can get their smug on.

*yawn*
Nothing is going to happen. Stop worrying. I could've woken up tomorrow morning without realizing it was the 11th without someone showing or telling me.
Go see a movie or something.
As a side-note: Last year I was driving cross-country on September 11th and every once-in-a-while I'd come across an overpass with people waving American flags. It was something really special.
If they start prayers, will the police force them to stop under threat of arrest like they did with Christian groups?
