The leftwing corporate smear machine can only spread a lie so long before the truth gets out. The Tea Party is the classic liberal hijacking of the GOP which in turn will force the Democrats to dump their current fascist bent or die as a mainstream party. The more people know the truth about the Tea Party, the more likely they are to join their cause. There is a reason why women make up the majority of the Tea Party. They see the crappy union/Democrat schools, the rising prices, & the weaker economy first hand. They are some of the first victims of corrupt, unsustainable, ineffective government.
The fascist/progressives are massively afraid of the Tea Party, and so are their allies in the leftwing corporate media. The lies and smears will certainly continue.
The Tea Party did not stick to their orginal agenda and the more people saw of the Tea Party the more people knew the Tea Party were full of it. No, more people will not being joining the collection of nutjobs involved in the TP, in fact the opposite has been,and will continue to be, the case. Oh blaming it on some sort of massive consiracy is exactly the sort of thing that makes TP'ers look like the idiots many of them are.

Why would a lIbertarian want to fix the GOP, shouldn't he be fixing the Libertarian Party? Oh wait he runs as a Repub so he can get elected, me thinks that is a bit dishonest, the nut does not fall far from the tree.
