Good for Kenya. Ever around second hand smoke? Ever eat a Big Mac? Lot of things contribute to our deaths according to the folks who think they are smarter than everybody else. Did your relative ever purchase any oil based products? Or do you just hate oil companies because that is what you are told? What about solar companies who leave "waste" in their midst? Or should we just go back to whaling? Do you use any oil based products?
What? The government screws up everything it touches other than the military and now they are trying to turn that into some lunatic social experiment and screw that up. Government is not an industry it sucks money from industry and weakens the country. The bigger the government gets the worse of the people are. If you can't see that then you aren't looking around.
....really? I'm glad you're a big supporter of the industrial military complex.
But hey.... private companies are soooooooooooooo great, since this topic is about oil companies:
Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM), the world’s largest energy company, was charged with illegally dumping more than 50,000 gallons (189,000 liters) of wastewater at a shale-gas drilling site in Pennsylvania.
Exxon unit XTO Energy Inc. discharged the water from waste tanks at the Marquandt well site in Lycoming County in 2010, according to a statement on the website of Pennsylvania’s attorney general. The pollution was found during an unannounced visit by the state’s Department of Environmental Protection.

You do realize solar power doesn't require constant drilling and refining to provide feedstock..... Just an endless supply of sun.... Everything has a cost..... some higher than others.
How long till the enviro's tell the Kenyans they can't extract this natural resourse and must continue to starve?
Kenya finds '70 year supply' of water in desert region
Scientists using technology developed to search for oil have discovered a vast underground water reservoir in one of Kenya's driest regions that if properly managed could supply the country's needs for close to 70 years.
and another post by another clueless person who's politics have as much thought as supporting a sports team.
