Assad played coy as recently as a few days ago in an interview with Charlie Rose. He did not confirm or deny he had those weapons then. He admits it now, and will give them up.

It would not surprise me. Strange world, this instant news cycle or whatever is, huh? Maybe Obama needs to do an op-ed with Pravda or we can offer to send McCain over to explain our point of view to the Russian legislature.
