Ok....ya got me. No police department anywhere on the planet has snipers

It may be more of a regional thing... I don't know all the colleges that have Marksmanship teams, but I know of a few universities that have them. For a kid looking to get into college, does there really need to be more than one? Not to mention, business's within the firearms industry awards grants to these kids to put toward tuition to the college of their choice.

I doubt that very many of those snipers were members of a high school rifle team. Do you have any stats to back up your assertion that being on a rifle team is an important criteria for obtaining a LEO job?

My son went to MIT and had a scholarship for their rifle team, now he's in the secret service - protecting your almighty Obama.

Is your argument that learning something in high school that is not relivent to a work environment is a waste of time? Because if so, probably 75% of what I learned in high school and college was a waste. How many people actually use high school mathematics that are not engineers? In my career I have not needed math or science above an 8th grade level. Same could be said for the majority of enlish and history.

Apparently you fail to understand that participation in extracurricular activities is important because it develops discipline and leadership. Do you have any stats to show it's not?

Can you definitively prove that unicorns don't exist?

If you actually think that something like a rifle team is useful to a student living in the modern world there really isn't anything left to say.

Biathlon is a full blown shooting sport combined with active xc skiing. Not many can deal with that pressure and still breath, much less shoot.

I come from a generation of boys that shot all the time. We were not raised up to be girls. These days girls shoot better than most boys.

You silly gun grabbers are just blinded by fear of a machine. It shows and it shows in more than guns as you nancy boys can't even drive stick.

Cops can't shoot.... They may have once when the NRA taught them, but no more. Cops these days are more likely to shoot off their own hands and feet than any bad guys.

Shooting takes something few have in the modern world. It takes discipline. Most boys these days are too busy feeling their vagina's.
