California governor to sign driver's license bill for illegal immigrants

I'm ashamed of Gov Brown for doing this. Even worse was when Gov Brown said that they no longer need to fear being stopped when "on their way to work". Why should an illegal have a "right to work" in our state?

"We need those living here and sharing our roads to be educated and insured," said Republican state Senator Anthony Cannella. "There are both social and financial reasons to provide licenses to immigrants who are part of our communities."

****************************

Financial reasons? Oh, you mean the kickbacks you took.

Gotcha.

Are California lawmakers dumb enough to think that illegal immigrants are going to get and maintain their auto insurance? We have the same problem in NC, and very few of the illegals are going to maintain their insurance.

If so, will you get a refund on the "uninsured motorist" portion of your insurance premium?

Regardless of what Brown said, immigration is a national issue. It typically doesn't get fixed because the CINO whiners won't some panacea perfect immigration bill. I'm guessing people support the bill because it will reduce the number of uninsured, unlicensed drivers on the road.

Mr. Brown's opinions on this national issue aren't really any more relevant than any other voter.

Should you be so upset about this issue, then perhaps you write some letters to your federal elected officials asking them to do something. Of course, the odds of Congress getting anything passed is slim to none.

Immigrants? They aren't "immigrants" they are illegal aliens. Illegal aliens are not and should not be a part of our communities.

Immigrants in the generic sense of the word. Anyone who moves from one place to another is an immigrant.

Illegal immigrants are part of our communities, unfortunately.

If they don't have a birth certificate or any other means of ID, are they going to accept any name that they give? Have to have a SS# as well. Are they going to waive most of the requirements that California citizens must pass in order to get a license?

Are these the same legislators that want to give illegal aliens a license to practice law too?

I'm extremely happy that California is doing this. Hopefully, this will cause an exodus of illegals from Texas to California.

As a Texas resident, I'd be more than happy to pay taxes supporting a program that would provide a free lunch and bus ticket to CA.

Many times I've thought of putting together a group that would raise money to rent some billboards in Houston that promote California to illegals as a great place to live.

Thanks, but we Californians are already saturated with illegal aliens and our state is going bankrupt.
